酒店简介文本的英译属外宣翻译范畴,而对外宣传必然强调宣传的社会效度。然而,国内酒店英译的质量却普遍不高,具有逐字对译,信息的性质与价值没有经过甄别,特色信息不突出等特征,因而无法达到预期的宣传效果。据此,本文根据酒店简介文本的特点,提出将应用翻译理论系统中的“经济简明、信息突出”策略原则用于指导酒店简介的翻译实践,力图使该类型文本的英译过程具有可描写性和可操作性,以期提高国内酒店简介英译文本的质量。
The English version of the text of hotel introduction is in the scope of foreign propaganda translation, while the external publicity will inevitably emphasize the social validity of publicity. However, the quality of English translation of domestic hotels is generally not high, with the characteristics of word to word translation, the nature and value of information have not been screened, characteristic information is not prominent and so can not achieve the expected effect of publicity. Based on the characteristics of the text of the hotel introduction, this paper proposes that the principle of “concise economy, prominence ” in applied translation theory system be used to guide the translation practice of hotel introduction and try to make the translation process of this type of text available Descriptive and maneuverability, with a view to improving the quality of English translation of domestic hotel profiles.
