在左翼作家对民族主义文艺运动的批判中 ,茅盾对民族主义文艺理论的批判是他的独特贡献 ,有较高的理论价值。民族主义文艺理论由作为理论基础的两个命题和一个基本文艺主张组成。两个命题是 :第一 ,文艺原本是表现民族意识的 ;第二 ,近代是民族主义文艺时代。一个基本文艺主张是 ,要创造以民族意识为“中心意识”的民族主义文艺。茅盾通过概念的澄清和具体实例的剖析批驳了民族主义文艺理论的两个命题 ,然后又结合政治现实的分析 ,指出了国民党文人的民族主义文艺主张的欺骗性和反动性。就当时的情况而言 ,茅盾的批判是恰当的
In the critique of the left-wing writers for the nationalist literary movement, Mao Dun’s criticism of the nationalist literary theory is his unique contribution and has a high theoretical value. Nationalist literary theory consists of two propositions as a theoretical basis and a basic literary proposition. Two propositions are: first, literature and art was originally a manifestation of national consciousness; secondly, modern times are the era of nationalistic literature and art. A basic literary proposition is to create a nationalistic literature and art with national consciousness as “central consciousness.” Mao Dun criticized the two propositions of nationalistic literary theory through the clarification of concepts and the analysis of concrete examples, and then combined with the analysis of political reality, pointed out the fraudulent and reactionary nationalist literary and artistic ideas of Kuomintang literati.
