安徽省霍邱县四千山石灰岩-白云岩矿床,赋存于中、上寨武统富镁碳酸盐岩系地层中.依据区域地背景、矿床地质特征,并结合该矿床周边地区岩相古地理分析,认为该矿床形成于地壳升降运动烦繁、海水动力增强、流通条件较好又强烈蒸发的环境下,从台地边缘浅滩(鲕津)相到硅化型蒸发台地相过渡的一套碳酸盐岩相沉积.
