根据第四系研究工作的需要,为了进一步了解大沽河口河床第四系沉积厚度的变化以确定古河道的位置,在北纬38°11′—36°17′30″,东经120°02′30″—120°09′的范围内(图1)开展了直流电测深工作.共完成电测深剖面五条,总长度为19.8公里,井旁十字测深五个,取得了较好的地质效果,不仅了解了工区第四系总厚度的变化,且能对第四系进行分层.一般可将本区第四系分为两层,局部层位可分为三层,并推测出断层十余条.这对研究新构造运动、河床的发展史、水文地质工程地质、农田利用和水库建设等,均有参考价值.
