20世纪40~70年代,新诗运动使阿拉伯诗歌向自由体迈出了坚实的第一步。阿拉伯现代主义流派和所有第三世界国家的诗歌一样,带着传统文化的深厚积淀,背负着沉重的民族使命。80~90年代,高新科技的迅速发展,掀起了势不可挡的全球化浪潮,给发展中国家的政治、经济和文化带来了巨大的影响和空前的压力。这时期的阿拉伯诗歌,有的努力追溯民族历史发展的渊源,展示民族繁盛时期的壮阔背景,启发人民对文化之根的眷恋;有的追寻民族衰落的原因,总结战争失败的教训,针砭时弊,反省民族自身的丑陋……
From the 40s to the 70s of the 20th century, the New Poetry Movement made Arabic poetry a solid first step toward freedom. The genres of Arabism, like the poems of all the third world countries, are deeply traced to the traditional national culture and carry a heavy national mission. The rapid development of high technology and new technology in the 1980s and 1990s set off an overwhelming wave of globalization that exerted tremendous influence and unprecedented pressure on the politics, economy and culture of developing countries. Some of the Arab poems of this period tried hard to trace the origin of the development of the national history, show the magnificent background of the prosperous period of the nation and inspire the people to cherish the roots of culture.
