Chronic renal failure terminal (CRF) affects glycated hemoglobin (HbA 1) determinations due to azotemia and metabolic acidosis. Dialysis patients using glucose tolerance test (OGTT) affected by a variety of factors and more complicated, it is difficult to estimate glucose metabolism. Thirty-six (28 male and 32 female) patients with CRF were enrolled in this study. Thyroid hormones and OGTT were measured and compared with 65 healthy adults. CRF patients with an average age of 48 ± 8 years. 42 were hemodialysis (HD) and 18 were peritoneal dialysis (IPD). No symptoms and signs of thyroid dysfunction.
