Australian Western Australian Report June 8, 1995 Following a study that found survivors of the atomic bombing in Japan were three times more likely than expected cancer survivors, the maximum acceptable radiation exposure for Australian workers has been reduced more than half. The new recommendation reduces the radiation exposure limit for workers from 50 milliseconds annually to 5 milliseconds annually. The limit was obtained on June 7 by Australia’s highest health advisory body - Australian Health and Medical Research Council
