Cyclic cartilage is the only intact cartilage ring in airway stents. It is generally considered to play an important scaffolding role in the airway lumen. The fracture of the bow will cause stenosis in the subglottic area. In the past, however, morphological studies of rabbits in their growth and development found that as long as the inner soft tissue of the bow was not damaged, the normal development of the subglottic area was not affected.
