田径，作为各项运动的基础，奥运会金牌的大户，已被世界各国和全国各省市所重视。本文通过大量调查研究，从我市农村中学课余田径运动训练的现状入手，剖析萍乡市农村中学普遍存在的领导对培养人才理解不全面，训练目标不明确，无规范、无根据；体育经费短缺，场地器材不足；体育师资队伍素质差，不稳定，以至于导致萍乡市田径运动水平上不去等问题。进而提出发展萍乡市农村中学课余田径训练的对策，以迅速提高萍乡市的田径运动水平。 Athletics, as the basis of all sports, is a major player in the Olympic gold medal, which has been taken seriously by all the countries in the world and other provinces and cities all over the country.
