广州军区澄迈农场与海南省海口市菜篮子工程局挂钩,在全军率先把部队农副业生产纳入地方菜篮子工程同步规划、同步建设。1995年以来,先后建起了万吨饲料加工厂、万头养猪场和万只蛋鸡场,还办起了千亩玉兰笋、干亩胡椒基地。既保证了部队所需的鲜蛋、猪肉供应,还丰富了地方市场,年增加收益达100余万元。 Chengmai Farm in Guangzhou Military Command was linked to the Vegetable Basket Engineering Bureau in Haikou City, Hainan Province. It took the lead in integrating PLA’s agricultural and sideline production into the planning and simultaneous construction of local vegetable baskets. Since 1995, it has successively set up 10,000 tons of feed processing plants, 10,000 pig farms and 10,000 laying hen farms, and has also started a thousand-mu Magnolia shoots and a dry mu pepper base. It not only ensures the supply of fresh eggs and pork needed by the troops but also enriches the local markets with an annual increase of more than 1 million yuan in revenue.
