本文论述了典型微处理机控制器的特点及设计方法,其中包括组合逻辑型、PLA型及微程序控制器。特别是对PLA控制器结合实例进行了深入讨论,具体说明了电路结构、化简方法及整个设计过程。文中对三种控制器的性能进行了比较,并提出了压缩面积、提高速度的几种途径。最后,指出由于PLA控制器和微程序控制器规则性强,便于自动化设计,因而更适合于未来的新型微处理器。
This article discusses the features and design methods for a typical microprocessor controller, including combinational logic, PLA, and microprogram controllers. In particular, the PLA controller is discussed in detail with examples, and the circuit structure, simplification method and the entire design process are described in detail. In this paper, the performance of the three controllers are compared, and several ways to compress the area and improve the speed are proposed. Finally, it is pointed out that the PLA microprocessor and the microprogram controller are more suitable for the new microprocessors of the future due to their regularity and automation design.
