许多合金(范围涉及从普通不锈钢到钛合金等)在焊接时,为了避免焊缝受到外来杂质入侵和防止大气污染,需要对合金进行清理并采用惰性气体进行保护。一些活性金属则需要更加严格的保护以获得较好的焊接效果,比如钛合金、锆合金以及双相不锈钢等高性能合金。举例来说,在氮强化钢焊接时,要严格控制净化气体中氮的含量以提高焊缝的强度和抗腐蚀性能。即使在焊接许多传统材料时,焊接根部的气体保护也常常是影响最终焊缝质量的一个重要因素。
Many alloys (ranging from ordinary stainless steel to titanium alloys, etc.) require the alloy to be cleaned and protected with inert gas to avoid weld foreign invasion and prevent atmospheric contamination during welding. Some active metals require more stringent protection for better soldering results, such as high-performance alloys such as titanium alloys, zirconium alloys, and duplex stainless steels. For example, in nitrogen-strengthened steel welding, the nitrogen content in the purge gas must be strictly controlled to improve the strength and corrosion resistance of the weld. Even in the welding of many traditional materials, the gas protection of the welded root is often an important factor affecting the quality of the final weld.
