总体而言,各种存储器可以按照其记录信息的维度进行分类。磁带、计算机用的纸带属于一维存储器,信息被记录在一维的带状材料中。纸张、光盘、磁盘则属于二维存储器,这些存储器的记录空间已被扩展到二维。这两类存储器发展得较早,各种相关技术也比较成熟。三维存储器因其具有一维、二维存储器所不具有的大容量的优点,从设想提出开始就受到重视,目前已成为存储器发展的一个重要方向。
In general, the various memories can be classified according to the dimensions of their recorded information. Tapes, tapes for computers belong to a one-dimensional memory and information is recorded in a one-dimensional strip of material. Paper, optical disks, and magnetic disks belong to two-dimensional memories, and the recording space of these memories has been extended to two dimensions. These two types of memory developed earlier, a variety of related technologies are more mature. Due to its advantages of large capacity not available in one-dimensional and two-dimensional memory, three-dimensional memory has drawn great attention from the beginning of its design and has now become an important direction for the development of memory.
