Objective: To investigate the predictive value of ABCD2 score in short-term prognosis of ischemic stroke patients. Methods: A total of 184 patients with ischemic stroke admitted to our department of neurology from March 2014 to June 2014 were enrolled. According to the pre-admission ABCD2 score, 40 patients were divided into low-risk group, 76 patients with moderate-risk group, Sixty-eight patients in high-risk group were divided into self-care group (101 cases), help-seeking group (79 cases) and death group (4 cases), according to the modified Rankin scale grading criteria at discharge, Group of patients after short-term hospital treatment of clinical symptoms improved. Results: The rates of self-care at discharge were 90.0%, 55.3% and 33.8% in low-risk group, moderate-risk group and high-risk group, respectively. The required help rates were 5.0%, 44.7% and 63.2% respectively. (P <0.05). The self-care rate of patients in middle-risk group was significantly higher than that in high-risk patients (P <0.05). The rates of help-seeking group in low-risk group were significantly lower than those in middle-risk and high-risk groups Patients (P <0.05), and those in moderate risk group were significantly lower than those in high risk patients (P <0.05). Conclusion: The ABCD2 score has a good predictive value in short-term prognosis of ischemic stroke patients.
