Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) is a newly developed polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method. Using a single 10bp random sequence primer as a PCR, a set of amplified fragments can be generated. Some random amplified polymorphic DNA fragments, with species or species identification features. In this study, RAPD was used to distinguish the closely related mosquitoes and their populations from the Ae.scutellaris group. The statistical analysis method was also introduced.
