Aim: To explore the role of c-myc gene in the implantation of embryo.Methods: The c-myc mRNA expression in the endometrium and deciduaof mice on d 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 7 of gestation were detected with the reversetranscription polymerase chain reaction methods followed by electrophoresisand VDS imaging analysis, and the housekeeper gene actin was used as in-ternal standard. Results: There was no expression of c-myc in nonpreg-nant endometrium and decidua on d 1 of gestation. On d 2 of gestation thec-myc’s expression began to increase and remain so till d 5. It went up tothe highest level on d 7. Conclusion: The c-myc gene began to increaseon d 2 of gestation and reached the highest level on d 7. It suggested that c-myc expression was involved in the early embryo differentiation and devel-opment.
