As a new kind of sugar, feed and energy crops, sweet sorghum has drawn more and more attention, arousing the concern of some national governments and international organizations. In the case of the world’s energy shortage, the research and development of biomass energy is increasingly urgent. Sweet sorghum as a biomass energy crop undoubtedly shows an attractive outlook. Sugar in sweet sorghum stalks is converted to ethanol by biological fermentation, and ethanol is blended into gasoline as a fuel.
