新加坡小学华文教育的最新一轮教改“单元模式”课程始于2007年,汉字教学在这个新式课程下在教法和数量上都发生了一个较大的转变。本文以学生和教师问卷调查结果为基本数据,辅以文献和对比分析,考察新课程下汉字教学政策的得体性。本文认为,新加坡未来的小学汉字教育理应加强而非降低。考虑的因素除了汉字本身的工具理性价值,还应该从汉字的文化传承的高度和视角来界定汉字在华文教育中的地位。作者希望本研究对世界上其他教育体系中的汉字教育也具有政策和实践上的参考价值。
The latest round of reform in Chinese education at Singapore elementary school “unit mode ” course began in 2007, Chinese teaching under this new course in the teaching method and quantity have undergone a larger change. In this paper, the questionnaire survey results of students and teachers as the basic data, supplemented by literature and comparative analysis to examine the appropriateness of the teaching of Chinese characters under the new curriculum. This article argues that Singapore’s future primary Chinese education should be strengthened rather than reduced. In consideration of the rational value of the tools of Chinese characters themselves, the factors to be considered should also define the position of Chinese characters in Chinese education from the perspective of cultural heritage of Chinese characters. The author hopes that this research also has the policy and practical reference value to the education of Chinese characters in other education systems in the world.
