近几年来,美国对外贸易有所好转,出口增长的速度大大超过进口的增长,使庞大的贸易逆差逐渐缩小。从1989年的情况看,出口额比上年增长了13％,达3619亿美元;而进口额仅比上年增长了6％,达4751亿美元。进出口相抵,贸易逆差降到1132亿美元,比上年下降了11％。1990年上半年仍保持着这种好转的形势,进出口额分别为2402亿美元和1969亿美元,逆差为433亿美元。
In recent years, the foreign trade of the United States has been somewhat improved. The rate of export growth has greatly surpassed that of imports, so that the huge trade deficit has been gradually reduced. Judging from the situation in 1989, the export value increased by 13% over the previous year to reach 361.9 billion U.S. dollars while the import value only increased by 6% over the previous year to reach 475.1 billion U.S. dollars. Against the background of import and export, the trade deficit dropped to 113.2 billion U.S. dollars, down 11% over the previous year. In the first half of 1990, such a turnaround was still maintained, with imports and exports reaching 240.2 billion U.S. dollars and 196.9 billion U.S. dollars respectively, with a deficit of 43.3 billion U.S. dollars.
