强调设计教学中实践性环节的重要性不仅在于培养学生的动手能力和社会实践能力,还包括另一个重要的内容,就是对设计本身实践性的确立。从设计和设计史的发展就可以看出,设计概念随着时代的发展不断变化,尤其是从莫里斯的“工艺美术运动”到包豪斯及其以后的理论与实践这一阶段现代设计观念的转变,充分说明了设计的实践性质。以我国目前设计教育体系中所遗留的对艺术的依赖性,比照设计史的事实,更可以看出强调实践性环节的重要性。实践性环节应从两个层面来理解,第一个是操作层面的理解,第二个是理论与概念层面的理解,就目前设计教育现状来看,对第二个层面的认识更为重要。第二个层面表示,设计教育中的实践性环节,其目的并不在于作为完成设计的辅助手段,而应该认为,设计本身就是实践,设计是一种活动。
Emphasize the importance of practical aspects of design teaching is not only to develop students’ practical ability and social practice ability, but also includes another important content, that is, to establish the practicality of the design itself. From the history of design and design history, it can be seen that the concept of design changes with the development of the times, especially from the “Arts and Crafts Movement” of Morris to the theory and practice of Bauhaus and beyond. Modernization The change of design concept fully illustrates the practical nature of design. Taking the dependency on art left in the design education system of our country for now and comparing with the fact of the history of design, we can even see the importance of emphasizing the practical aspects. Practical aspects should be understood from two aspects. The first one is the understanding of the operational level. The second one is the understanding of the theory and the conceptual level. Judging from the current status of design education, the second level of understanding is more important. The second level indicates that the practical aspects of design education are not intended as an aid to the completion of design. Rather, design should be regarded as practice and design as an activity.
