Experimental observation of the compound snake’s acute toxicity and its analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. The results showed that the maximum tolerated dose of oral compound snake preparation was 120g/kg, which was 1091 times of the clinically used dose of the patient. The preparation was basically non-toxic. Compound snake preparations significantly reduced the number of writhing in mice induced by acetic acid, which significantly increased the pain threshold of electrical stimulation in mice, and its analgesic effect was related to dose. Compound snake preparations caused a significant reduction in inflammatory swelling of the paw of rats caused by carrageenan and significantly reduced the inflammatory swelling in the right ear of mice caused by xylene. The results showed that the compound snake preparation did have anti-inflammatory effects and was within a certain range. The effect increases with increasing dose.
