以5份中国稻种质资源、2份美国稻种质资源为亲本,灵活运用单交、回交、花药培养等育种手段,实现中美水稻亲本之间有利基因的互补、叠加、纯合。通过对MS培养基的营养成分及其浓度进行精量调整,促进愈伤组织的诱导、分化,提高成苗率,选育出具有高产、优质、多抗、光温钝感广适性水稻新品系24份,按其株叶形态分为2类,其中改良型中国水稻18份,改良型美国水稻6份。
