Alzheimer's disease is one of the most common neurodegenerative diseases which has great impact on human beings. What disappointing is that there are no available drugs to delay or even change the process of AD.The only thing people can do in clinical practice now is to relieve symptoms. One of the reasons for this fact is that no appropriate disease model has been established yet. With the development of scientific research, especially for the technology of induced pluripotent cell, not only do people study animal models, but also pay attention to cell models. They can be used to simulate different pathologies and stages of AD, which can help people have better understandings of Adranging from pathogenesis to drug screening. This article will provide an extensive review on current applicationsof cell models of Adand discuss the advantages and challenges for each model.
