The North Qaidam is a Paleozoic ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic (UHPM) belt in NW China.Existing studies suggest that eclogites and their country rock gneisses were subducted into the depth of mantle as a whole during 420-460 Ma in Paleozoic (Song et al.,2014;Mattinson et al.,2006;Chen et al.,2009,2012;Zhang G et al.,2009;Zhang J et al.,2010;Zhang C et al.,2011).In last decade,numerous Neoproterozoic magmatic and metamorphic events have been recognized in para- and ortho-gneisses as well as their hosted HP-UHP eclogites (Mattinson et al.,2006;Chen et al.,2009;Song et al.,2012;Zhang C et al.,2012;Yu et al.,2013) and the North Qaidam was accordingly considered as a fragment of Rodinia supercontinental (Song et al.,2012;Zhang C et al.,2012;Yu et al.,2013).
