Several peptide toxins,which have different targets,can be found in the venom of arthropods,what makes them a rich source of bioactive molecules.Some of these peptides can be potentially used as drug models.We focused on a peptide called PnTx2-6 (MW =5,300 Da),isolated from the venom of the armed spider Phoneutria nigriventer that has been shown to potentiate erectile function.
