Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) are a kind of materials which can preferentially rebind template molecule over competitor molecules. It is very important to find the adequate functional monomer in the polymerization process. The best monomer has lots of specific binding sites which can bind with the template molecular and will be able to synthetize the polymers with certain mechanical strength when the crosslink agent and catalyzer appear. In this study, the functional monomer was changed, which was aimed at increasing the binding sites by increasing the amount of amino groups and copper chelation.
