To clarify whether the molecule anchoring mechanisms of aquaporin-4 (AQP4) are altered after severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) and provide a new way to treat brain edema by interrupting AQP4 molecule anchoring mechanisms, the study was carried out.Male Sprague Dawley rats were used and tissue samples collected at 1, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72 h and 1 week.
