Objective: To investigate the similarities and differences of human amniotic epithelial cells (hAECs) and bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) on the basis of their morphology, proliferation, surface antigen expression and osteogenic differentiation potential in vitro.Methods: Both Cells morphology and proliferation was investigated.Further analysis for immunophenotype profiles of all three cell sources were conducted using flow cytometry.In vitro osteogenic differentiation process of hAECs and hBMSCs was evaluated by biochemical staining, real-time PCR and cytoimmunofluorescence.
