  The Japanese scallop (Patinopecten (Mizuhopecten) yessoensis) which originally distributes in the Sea of Japan was introduced into China in 1982.Since then, the Japanese scallop culture has been the important industry in China.And most of the seed are hatchery-produced.The parental breeders were randomly selected from the cultured population based on the based on phenotype traits.And the stock management lags behind the requirement of the scallop industry.
