Potentiometry based on ion-selective electrodes(ISEs)has emerged as a valuable tool for the selective detection of target ions in biological and environmental samples.1-3 In recent years,an exciting new class of dynamic ISEs operated in non-zero current mode has become a very active field of research.4 The pulsed galvanostatic ion sensors,which work under periodic galvanostatic polarization,have been adopted as a promising transducer for biosensing.5,6 Currently,the ISEs are typically designed for a specific ion.As a detector or an individual transducer,however,a single electrode that can perform two or more analytes measurements is highly required.Herein,a galvanostatically controlled solid-contact ISE with conducting polymer(PEDOT-PSS)as a transduction layer was designed for potentiometric biosensing.By coupling the pulsed galvanastatic technique with solid-contact ISEs,potentiometry for dual target ions with high sensitivity has been proposed.
