Cancer is one of the most feared diagnosis faced in a persons lifetime.The United States National Cancer Institute estimates that the lifetime risk of being diagnosed with cancer of a person born today is greater than 40%.In those people diagnosed with cancer, there is a high incidence of temporary or permanent restriction in ability to do a daily activity.Cancer rehabilitation is focused on restoring and maintaining the highest possible level of functioning in all stages after the diagnosis of cancer.There has been an increasing awareness among medical personnel treating cancer patients in the importance of addressing the functional impairments faced by many patients.
