Objective: To evaluate the outcome of orthognathic surgery for obstructive sleep apnoea patient by the changes on facial profile.Methods: Seven patients with obstructive sleep apnoea, who underwent orthognathic surgery, were included.Age,polysomnographic recordings and lateral cephalometric radiographs were analyzed.Lateral cephalometric radiographs were taken preoperatively, postoperatively to analyze skeletal facial profile.Results: For five patients, maxillomandibular advancement were accomplished.Two patients were underwent MMA and additional surgical procedures, maxillary ASO and both ASO, considering presurgical facial profile.Conclusions: Additional surgical options, such as ASO, might be required when planning the orthognathic surgery for patient with obstructive sleep apnoea by the patients facial profile.
