The two human gamma-herpesviruses, Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV) and Kaposis sarcoma-associated Herpesvirus (KSHV), are associated with a variety of human cancers.Lack of a robust lytic replication system for EBV and KSHV has prompted us to study the regulation of viral gene expression in a closely related rodent gamma-herpesvirus, murine gammaherpesvirus-68 (MHV-68).
