In this talk,I would like to present one of our current research projects,that is on the mathematical analysis of shock diffraction by convex cornered wedges for both the nonlinear wave equation and the potential flow.The existence of the regular configuration for the potential flow is established up to the critical wedge angle,which would be the criterion of the transition between the regular configuration and the Mach configuration.
