Kaposis sarcoma associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is the causative agent of Kaposis sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma (PEL), and multicentric Castlemans disease (MCD).As the major viral latency protein, the latency associated nuclear antigen (LANA) plays pivotal roles in viral episome replication, partitioning and maintenance.LANA forms dimers, and possible mutimers, and LANA containing speckles are visible in KSHV infected cells.Herein we used mass spectrometry to dissect the composition of KSHV LANA containing speckles and identify new cellular proteins interacting with LANA.
