Introduction:LPS plays an important role in the pathogenesis of certain bacterial infections as it acts as the immunostimulator and immunomodulator.PTEN is discovered as a tumor suppressor gene,functioning as a protein tyrosine phosphatase as well as a lipid phosphatase.It has been illustrated to be associated with LPS-induced signal transduction by several studies and a positive regulator of TLR4 signaling and mediator of macrophage inflammation response.Based on evidences mentioned above,we design this study to find out that whether PTEN is also involved in the LPS-mediated inflammation response of rabbit corneal stromal cells.
