  几丁质酶在昆虫生长发育过程中起着十分重要的作用,其中,分支Ⅰ(groupⅠ)几丁质酶主要负责昆虫蜕皮过程中旧表皮的降解,被认为是农药设计的潜在靶标。亚洲玉米螟几丁质酶OfChtⅠ 属于groupⅠ 几丁质酶,通过分析其催化域的晶体结构,发现在其活性腔中存在一系列疏水性氨基酸,在底物与酶结合中起着重要作用[1]。
