  The efficient and high throughput productions disease-associated proteins are crucial for the discovery of drugs.We have reconstituted cell-free translation system from the translation factors individually purified from E.coli cell.The system named PURE system will provide a platform technology in the field of the post-genome research and enable us to prepare proteins without use of living cells.Recently the PURE system has been integrated with the components involved in membrane targeting process including lipsome to produce membrane proteins or protein complex with biological activities in vitro.This translation-membrane integration coupled system is capable of synthesizing active membrane proteins including mammalian membrane receptors,
