The intake system is designed in order to get high torque in the low-speed section and change the parameter of the intake pipe.Through theory analyses,after the parameter of the intake pipe is changed,the dynamic effect of air intake can be utilized to increase volumetric efficiency of the engine at low speed to enlarge the torque.The validity of the model is verified through experiments.Therefore the model of the motorcycle engine can be applied to modify the performance of the motorcycle engine.Through further research,It is found that the length of the intake pipe has a quite great influence on the characteristic of the torque,which can be increased and its maximum point can be displaced to low speed by lengthening the intake pipe when the engine is at low and medium rotational speed.
