  LIM (Lin-11, Isl-1, Mec-3) domain protein which contains zinc finger is an important regulation factor involved in many processes of cell development and growth in eukaryotes.GhLIM6 is a LIM-domain protein gene in upland cotton (Gossypium hursutum L.) and specifically expressed in pollen and fiber cell.In order to illuminate accurately the expression pattern of GhLIM6 and screen pollen-and/or fiber-specific promoter for genetic engineering, we have cloned about 1.3kb promoter sequence of the GhLIM6 gene.Sequence analysis in the PlantCARE database showed that it has many cis-acting regulatory elements such as GAresponsive elements, ABA-responsive element, auxin-responsive elements and lowtemperature-responsive dement and so on.
