With growing resistance of HIV-1 to current drugs,there is need for research on other HIV-l targets.Although it may not be possible to devise a drug to which resistance will never emerge,some molecular targets are constrained by structure and function,and therefore may be more difficult for the virus to alter in order to acquire resistance.
