The traditional way of deformation monitoring in mining area is to utilize the level,theodolite and total station.Though GPS is widely used,deformation monitoring in mining survey with GPS still have a lot of problems especially for noise extraction.This paper introduces the basic signal model of deformation monitoring with GPS and discusses the main problems of GPS eformation monitoring in mining area.For the problem of noise signal extraction in GPS deformation monitoring,the Kalman-EMD method is proposed to obtain the effective deformation signal.Thereliability and effectiveness of the methodology have been tested and verified by analog signal.And the results of experiment in Mongolia shows that the accuracy of proposed GPS deformation monitoring model can reach the accuracy of level method.
