Mosquitoes in the genus Anopheles are the exclusive vectors of human malaria(Plasmodium spp.).On the African continent there are only a handful of competent vectors,yet their foraging and resting behavior vary broadly.Understanding the difference in these behaviors and how these behaviors are affected by local ecology and transmission interventions is critical to malaria control.
