The Jiangnan belt is a collisional suture between the Yangtze and Cathaysia Blocks in South China.Our investigations suggest that some Neoproterozoi mafic-ultramafic blocks and granitoids are exposed in the Yuanbaoshan- Longsheng area along the northern Guangxi segment of the Jiangnan belt.New LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb data,Hf isotopes and whole rock geochemistry from a suite of granite,gabbro diorite and mafic-ultramafic rocks were reported.Zircons from mafic rocks yield a U-Pb age of 855 ± 5 Ma,whereas those from the granites give ages of 823± 5,831 ± 5,823.8±5.3 and 833 ± 6 Ma.
