  牛病毒性腹泻(Bovine viral diarrhea, BVD)是一种呈世界性分布,并且对畜牧业造成巨大经济损失的疾病.BVDV是黄病毒科瘟病毒属的一员,可分为BVDV-1型和BVDV-2型.研究证明,BVDV会引起牛的急性感染、持续感染(Persistent infection,PI)和黏膜病(mucosal disease,MD),损害牛的生殖系统和免疫功能,引起发热、腹泻、溃疡、不孕、流产、死胎、免疫抑制等,从而造成严重的经济损失.目前研究结果表明,多种多样的临床症状都和BVDV感染存在一定的关系.即使是免疫功能健全的奶牛表现为瞬时感染,但当其他病原微生物感染的前提下,BVDV可以加重其感染的程度,并表现出明显的临床症状.
