Objective To evaluate short-term effects of APC on esophageal varices (EV).Methods Retrospective analysis was adopted.Data of all cases with liver disease and portal hypertension, receiving multiple endoscopic treatments for EV from January, 2009 to July, 2012, were collected, including ID number, gender, date of operations, diagnosis, liver function, degree of varices, treatment session, complications,recheck results.
