Backgrountl/Puprose:Dermoscopy is a modern additional method for skin observation in vivo that provides an important improvement to the melanoeyte lesions diagnostic.Recently the use of dermoscopy became extremely useful for the diagnosis not only of melanocytic lesions, but also of non melanocytic dermatosis. We suggest to apply dermoscopy for the diagnosis of aging skin. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate the value of dermoscopy for diagnostics of aging skin and its value as a method for evaluating invasive cosmetic treatments.Methods:183 patients (168 women and 15 men) were observed before and after different cosmetic treatment including mesotherapy and different types of chemical peeling. An average age of patients was 35,3±7,4 years. To all of the patients we effectuated dermoscopy of 3 zones (frontal central zoneglabella, periorbital zone and cheek central area-zone of fossa canina) which we established as an evaluation standard zones.Dermoscopic pictures were systematized and analyzed.Results.To characterize objectively the aging skin surface we chose and evaluated parameters that are evident in dermatoscopic observation and are persistent in the aging skin-dryness,pores, pigmentation disorders, vascular disorders, evenesses. We focused on this dermoscopic parameters and created the scale that allowed to calculate the Aging skin index (ASI).ASI is less or equal 1.0 for skin with no aging signs , more than 1.0 means different grades of aging skin.
