With the development of the smaller gas turbine,a preferred injection method of slinger system has been explored intensively. In the previous study, the spray characteristics and correlation has been investigated mostly. However, there are few studies performed with drop distribution due to its measuring difficulty. The study is focused on the inertia effect which is an essential element that influences the spray distribution spatially.Several parameters such as orifice diameters, flow rates, and rotational speeds are used to measure and analyze these phenomena. The result shows that the inertia effect truly exists and how orifice diameters, flow rates, and the rotational speed affect the spray performance in the slinger system. The larger orifice diameter caused apparently inertia effect, and the higher flow rate causes the droplet distribution more uniform than the lower flow rate. For an operating gas turbine,we can find an optimization of distribution by considering the inertia effect investigated in the study.
