Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is an incurable fibrosing disorder that progresses relentlessly to respiratory failure.Although the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of lung fibrosis are not clear, TGF-β1 indubitably plays a central role in the process.Therefore, targeting TGF-β1 signaling may be a favorable strategy for patients with IPF.
