2000年2月北京医科大学第一附属医院第二住院部在基建施工时,于地表以下3米处发现一座古代砖室墓。在医院和施工单位的通力配合下,北京市文物研究所对此进行了发掘。墓葬座北朝南,由三个墓室组成,通长793米。因墓顶部已塌落,因此墓室高度不详。墓室的正南方为墓门及甬道,甬道长1.7米,宽0.86~0.95米。甬道前端墓门处用砖封堵,后面是一座近似方形前室。前室长2.3米,宽2.5米。在前室的西北角及后壁中间发现有陶罐、陶奁、陶灶等,共6件器物。前室的后面并列两座长方形后室,分称东、西后室。前室和东、西后室之间由两个甬道相通。
